Gala Banquet and Awards Ceremony
Robert SiegelRobert Siegel, host of National Public Radio’s award-wining news magazine All Things Considered, will preside over this celebrated annual event, honoring those who have made outstanding contributions to the field of global health. Five awards will be given: The $1 million Gates Award for Global Health, the Jonathan Mann Award for Global Health and Human Rights, the Award for Best Practices in Global Health, the Global Health Excellence in Media Award and the Photography Contest Award. The Gates Award for Global Health will be announced and presented by Bill Gates Sr., co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The festivities will begin at 5 pm with a reception in the Exhibition Hall followed by the Banquet and Awards Ceremony at 5:45 pm in the Regency Ballroom (map). Please note this is a ticketed event. Tickets may be purchased on site; please contact the Conference Registration desk to inquire as to the availability of seating.
