Policy Series @ Conference



Now in its second year, the Global Health Council is pleased to once again offer an expansion of its DC-based Policy Series events to annual conference attendees. These sessions have been organized by Council staff with invited external presenters and are designed to prompt learning and discussion around key issues in the areas of policy, research, advocacy and outreach. We welcome your participation in the series and look forward to your feedback.

PS4: Building the Agenda Together: Global Health Council's Policy Advocacy Goals and Strategy
5-7 pm
The purpose of this session is to share the Global Health Council's policy goals and advocacy strategy with our members and conference participants, and invite their feedback. The Council maintains a robust and effective advocacy program that encompasses a wide array of health issues and employs a multi-pronged strategy. This session will review the Council's short- and long-term objectives in light of the current political environment, and how it uses dialogue with policy-makers, in public outreach, communications and research to support policy advocacy. The session will give participants the opportunity to provide feedback and suggestions for the Council's policy advocacy. The discussion will also encompass how the Council can best incorporate its members and other interested parties in advocacy.
