Kenyan AIDS Orphans Take Generic Anti-retrovirals
NAIROBI: An orphanage in Nairobi on Tuesday launched a
ground-breaking programme under which for the first time in Kenya generic anti-retrovirals are officially being dispensed to people living with HIV/AIDS.
Sixteen orphans are taking part in the first phase of the programme, which officially kicked off when one orphan swallowed a dose of zidovudine a generic of the anti-AIDS drug AZT, in front of a gathering of ministers and public
