Nominate Your Unsung Hero of International Development

July 16, 2009

The Guardian, in partnership with the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and Marie Stopes International, are pleased to announce an exciting new award - The Guardian Achievements in International Development Award.

We are looking to recognise people who have made an impact by improving the lives of some of the world's poorest people - people who have gone beyond the call of duty to make a difference.

Whether this is someone who has made a contribution directly through their own work or activities, or indirectly as a result of others using their achievements to improve lives (e.g. via technological inventions or agricultural research). People from all over the world are eligible.

We want you to nominate your unsung hero.
