Policy Series Community Input Meeting
The Global Health Council held a meeting on Friday, Oct. 14 from 10:30-11:30am at our offices (1111 19th Street, NW; Suite 1120) to seek input from the community about the AIDS-related content of our Policy Series.
The Global Health Council organizes a Policy Series throughout the year that is intended to educate policymakers about global health issues. The Policy Series has four main components:
- Congressional Briefings;
- Partners Forums (events for the community in the GHC offices);
- Director's Dialogue Dinners; and
- Congressional Study Tours.
As part of our effort to ensure that the Policy Series meets the needs of the community, the Council is inviting you to join us for an hour to provide input into the content of the series. A similar meeting will be held for each of our other policy areas of emphasis in the coming months.
The agenda included
- Plans for events on World AIDS Day (December 1)
- Brainstorming of ideas for global HIV/AIDS Congressional briefings throughout the year
- Brainstorming of ideas for Partner's Forums throughout the year
We hope you were able to join us. If you were not able to join us, please feel free to send your ideas to aklein@globalhealth.org
