The World Health Forum (WHF) Steering Committee is currently accepting nominations for delegates to attend the 2006 WHF, Counterfeit Pharmaceuticals: An Emerging Threat to Global Public Health.

Delegates will work in small groups and general session to formulate a set of written global policy recommendations on pharmaceutical anti-counterfeiting. We are particularly interested in individuals from international organizations, ministries of health, food and drug administrations, the pharmaceutical industry, and academia.

The 1-page nomination form can be downloaded from our website at http://www.worldhealthforum.us/2006nominate.htm and faxed to 1-972-812-0214 or e-mailed to whf@worldhealthforum.us

In collaboration with the International Hospital Federation and The Health Industry Council of the Dallas-Fort Worth Region, the World Health Forum (WHF) will convene a week-long, multi-disciplinary meeting of international stakeholders to assimilate previous efforts against pharmaceutical counterfeiting, recommend needed solutions, and articulate a clear plan for future cooperation and collaboration.

The Forum will take place November 12-17, 2006 in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas area. The first 4 days of the event are devoted to the creation of a written set of global policy recommendations. On the 5th and final day, delegates and invited speakers address the public and 300 invited guests to raise awareness on the subject of counterfeit pharmaceuticals and to draw attention to the presentation of the Forum recommendations.
