Scientists Still Don’t Know How Bird Flu is Spreading

Scientists predicted that deadly avian flu virus would arrive in Ohio this autumn on the wings of migrating waterfowl.
It hasn't.
Ongoing tests of birds at wildlife marshes along Lake Erie have recorded the normal mixture of low-pathogen bird flu but not the deadly H5N1 type that has swept through Asia into Africa, spreading fear it could eventually cause a world pandemic among people.
