A Global Health Council congressional briefing

Millions of children around the world die needlessly from vaccine-preventable diseases each year. This year, donor governments and foundations are finalizing a plan to bring affordable and appropriate vaccines to these children through an innovative financing mechanism called Advanced Market Commitments (AMCs). The Global Health Council, the GAVI Alliance, PATH and PneumoADIP at Johns Hopkins discussed the progress of the first AMC and how this mechanism is works to bring vaccines to children around the world.
