Global Health Council Members Briefing on the President's '09 Budget for Global Health

Feb. 6, 2008

This Partners Forum was open to Council Members Only

Tues. Feb. 19, 2008
Global Health Council
Washington, D.C.

After seven years of growth in investment and executive leadership on some of the critical global health issues of our time, President Bush's final budget request for fiscal year 2009 did not reflect support for the baseline investments sought by advocates for successful and needed global health programs. The Council invited its members to a briefing on the President's budget, how it may or may not have influenced congressional appropriations for 2009, and how Council members could work together to ensure the best possible outcomes for all sector issues within global health.

Featured Speaker:
Nicole Bates, Director of Government Relations, Global Health Council

This briefing was open to Global Health Council members only.
