Film: Vida Positiva (Positive Living), Mozambique

Malgorzata Malak participated in a 3-month internship in a local Mozambican organisation, Kindlimuka http://www.kindlimuka.org.mz/ in August – November 2008. Her sending organisation was GLEN http://www.glen-europe.org/.

During the internship together with her tandem partner, Verena Allinger, they made a documentary about HIV/AIDS issue in Mozambique. The film is called "Vida Positiva" and is an outline of the situation including reasons for HIV spread, national combat strategies, projects run by NGOs, ways of treating the disease and personal stories of HIV positive people and their relatives.

Why has HIV spread so much in Mozambique reaching the level of 16%? How do people react? Organizations... government... doctors... healers...? Is the African potato healing? How does an HIV positive person feel? What are his/her dreams? How should we talk to children at school about HIV and sex?

Watch this movie, 'Vida Positiva' which was made during a 3-month GLEN internship at, Kinlimuka in Maputo, Mozambique:
