Action Against Hunger
Action Against Hunger is an international humanitarian relief organization with headquarters in Paris, Madrid, London, and New York. For almost 25 years, AAH brings its ongoing expertise in assessment and treatment of acute malnutrition to its current work in over 40 countries.
Our mission is to save lives and reduce the suffering that accompanies food and water insecurity resutling from both intended and natural disasters. In the short term, we address hunger and malnutrition by providing food and water in emergency situations. In the long term, we provide training in nutrition, food security, water & sanitation and health to ensure self-sufficiency and help rebuild communities.
Action Against Hunger's Scientific Committee actually pioneered the milk formula (F100), now widely used by all relief organizations - this has significantly decreased the global mortality rate in severly malnourished children under the age of five from 25% to 5%, enabling them to lead healthy lives.
