Globalization and Health

We would like to introduce the forthcoming journal, Globalization and Health. The journal will be an Open Access, peer-reviewed, online journal providing a forum for debate and discussion on the topic of globalization and its impact on public health. Preliminary information about the journal is available at http://www.globalizationandhealth.com

Globalization has enormous implications in terms of health care systems and decision-making processes and is represented by an increasing number of scientific publications on the topic. However, until now there has been no dedicated outlet for publication on this subject. Globalization and Health will examine both the positive and negative effects of globalization on public health and will present balanced, challenging and rational debate on the subject.

The journal will consider the following articles: research, book reviews, commentaries, debate, hypotheses, methodology, reviews, short reports and study protocols.

Globalization and Health will be published by BioMed Central, the Open Access publisher.
