SESSION TYPES

Plenary Sessions
Sessions featuring the over-arching themes of the conference, with featured keynote speakers. These are designed for all participants to attend and no other sessions run concurrently with them.

Concurrent Panel Sessions (Labeled A-G)
Moderated sessions in which 3-4 presenters have 15 minutes each to present, followed by a question-and-answer period. Typically, there are approximately 7 sessions to choose from in any one 90-minute period.

Poster Session Reception
This session will take place in the Exhibition Hall on Wednesday, May 29 at 5:30 pm. Presenters are provided with a 4-foot bulletin board area to place charts, graphs, photos, text and other artifacts that describe their project or study. All poster presenters will be available during this session to speak with participants about their work. The posters will remain up until Thursday evening.

Roundtable Session
This session will take place in several different rooms, organized by track, on Thursday, May 30 at 3:30 pm. Presenters sit with small groups of participants to discuss a program or research topic.

X-Fire Session
These are 90-minute sessions during which speakers representing opposing approaches or opinions on a theme-related global health issue present their positions for discussion and debate.
